Welcome to Bupa Dental Care Derby Raynesway

Situated on the outskirts of Derby City Centre, this practice provides a range of dental treatments.

Previously known as Raynesway Dental Care, the now-named Bupa Dental Care Derby Raynesway practice offers a wide range of NHS and private dental services. Established in the 90’s, we have a wonderful team of friendly clinicians, including specialist orthodontists, dentists, orthodontic therapists and hygienists, who are committed to serving our patients’ needs. Our practice is accepting dental referrals.

We are a wheelchair friendly facility, with a ramp entrance, and ground-level reception and surgeries. Please contact us if you have any queries regarding accessibility at our practice.

Emergency appointments are available with our clinic, for which we endeavour to see patients as soon as possible.

No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.

COVID-19 safety tariff (where applicable)

The health, wellbeing and safety of our patients, their families and our people is our priority and always will be.

That’s why, following the COVID-19 outbreak, we’ve taken the essential decision to put extra safety measures in place right across our practice, so you can continue to visit our dentists with the reassurance that you are secure and protected.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has always been worn by our clinical teams in the practice, but the new safety measures mean that our clinicians will now be wearing enhanced PPE to minimise the risk of cross contamination during treatment.

To ensure that each patient has the protection they need we have to apply a separate tariff for the enhanced PPE that is required for each dental treatment. The tariff will vary by treatment type – please contact your local practice for more information.

This is a temporary measure - we are committed to keeping costs to a minimum and hope to reduce this further as the cost for PPE reduces, or the need for enhanced safety measures decreases or are no longer needed.
