A former partner of the Sherborne practice, Alan has completed a variety of postgraduate training in areas including restorative dentistry.

After qualifying in Cork, Ireland, Alan moved to England and worked as an associate in High Wycombe and Gravesend. He then moved to Sherborne, Dorset, in 1989 and became a partner at Market View Dental Practice, now Bupa Dental Care Sherborne. During that time, Alan has maintained a keen interest in postgraduate education. He completed the diploma of postgraduate dental studies at Bristol in 1996 and has also completed the Bristol University Open Learning for Dentists course in orthodontics for clinical assistants and has worked at Dorset County Hospital. To add to his repertoire, Alan completed both restorative and aesthetic courses under Paul Tipton.

Silviu has been part of the training and integration programme for both EU and Non-EU dentists, successfully mentoring many new candidates, giving him a thorough understanding of the rules and regulations related to dentistry in UK.

Silviu enjoys spending time with his patients to understand their individual needs. He has a keen interest in aesthetic restorations and prosthetic treatments. He also completed master’s in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool in 2017, where he gained great social and interpersonal skills.

Elodie enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a special interest in aesthetic dentistry.

Elodie qualified in Belgium and went on to achieve a master’s in advanced dentistry in 2009. In 2010, she moved to Wales and worked in Aberystwyth until she relocated to South Somerset at the end of 2013. She joined the Sherborne practice in 2016.

Elodie has a special interest in aesthetic dentistry, completing courses at the LonDec, King’s College London’s postgraduate dental education and training centre. She’s experienced in treating anxious patients.

Training and qualifications

David graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiology (1986) and BChD in Dentistry (1991) from the University of Stellenbosch.

David emigrated to the United Kingdom in 2004. His keen interest in oral surgery and oral medicine saw him complete an MSc in oral surgery at the University of Central Lancashire in 2013, followed by an MSc in periodontology (awarded with distinction) in 2016 at the International Medical College, Germany.

David has subsequently completed the MClinDent in periodontology (awarded with distinction) at the College of Medicine and Dentistry in Birmingham, where he now teaches at postgraduate level.

He recently completed an MSc in craniofacial trauma reconstruction (also awarded with distinction) at Queen Mary College, University of London.
