Welcome to Bupa Dental Care Northampton Minor Oral Surgery
The Bupa Dental Care Northampton Minor Oral Surgery (MOS) Unit is a referral service only. You can't refer yourself as a member of the public, you need to be referred to us by your dentist.
Our primary focus is tooth extractions that fall beyond the scope of a general dentist. Your regular dentist can refer you to us through the referral management system. Once we process your referral, our team will contact you to schedule an appointment.
You will be seen by one of our highly skilled clinicians that have many years of experience seeing and treating patients for difficult extractions.
We offer intravenous sedation for those patients that have been referred by their regular dentist for difficult extractions under intravenous sedation. A patient would need to meet certain criteria to be eligible for sedation. This will be discussed at your initial appointment to see if it is appropriate.

Patient feedback
No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
