Bupa Dental Care Cardiff Pentwyn, just outside of Cardiff, provides both NHS and private services.
A project we’re particularly proud of is the educational work we do with parents and children. We run regular open days where parents and children can meet our tooth fairy. Ask the Practice team for upcoming dates. And each child who attends receives a dental goody bag.

You can find us within the St David Medical Centre on Pentwyn Drive in Pentwyn. There’s free parking around the Practice. You can also reach us by bus:
- The number 58 bus stops on Bryn Celyn Drive, outside St David’s CIW Primary School. When you get off the bus, head back towards Pentwyn Drive, take a right turn and you’ll see us on the right-hand side within the courtyard of St David Medical Centre.
- The number X1 stops on Pentwyn Drive opposite My Store. Cross the road, head back towards St David Medical Centre and you’ll see us within the courtyard.

No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
