Expertise in dental implants
Implant treatments and services
We offer a wide range of implant procedures in comfortable and modern surroundings, including single implants and full-mouth reconstructions. We use the smile in a day technique to place same day dental implants.
Sometimes supporting treatments are needed before you have implants placed. We’re experienced in a range of treatments, including bone grafting, guided bone regeneration, open and closed sinus lifts and connecting tissue grafting.
Underpinned by modern technology
Our dentists’ qualifications and experience is complemented by the technology we have in-house. Our CBCT scanner and CEREC machine allow us to create bespoke treatment plans and construct custom-made crowns for implants in a single visit.
We accept referrals from other practices for implant treatment. Our dentists have postgraduate implant qualifications and can treat complex cases. Refer a patient.
Aftercare
If you look after your implants properly, they can last as long as natural, healthy teeth. That’s why we put a focus on aftercare. You’ll have access to our dedicated hygienists to learn how to care for your implants and maintain good oral health.
Implant procedure
Learn about the step-by-step treatment process for having dental implants, from your initial consultation right through to aftercare.
First, you’ll have a free* phone consultation with one of our dedicated treatment coordinators. We’ll talk you through your options, give you an indication of price and can book you in for an initial assessment with your implant dentist if you choose to go ahead.

Clinical assessment
Next, you’ll have a clinical assessment to make sure you’re eligible for treatment. Your dentist will take X-rays and decide exactly where your implants need to be placed. They’ll also talk you through the cost of treatment and let you know if you need a supporting treatment, such as a bone graft.

Placing your implants
This is where your dental implants are fixed into your jawbone. It’s a surgical procedure normally performed under local anaesthetic, so it’s relatively pain-free. If you feel nervous, your dentist may be able to offer sedation to put you at ease. Your bone and gums will need time to heal before attaching your replacement teeth, so we’ll fit you with some temporary teeth until you’re ready.

Fitting your replacement teeth
It’s normal to wait four to eight months for the implant to fully integrate with your jawbone, before your permanent, replacement teeth are fitted. They will be custom-made to fit the size, shape and colour of your existing teeth.

Aftercare
Keeping your implants clean and healthy is no more difficult than it is with your natural teeth. But if you find any areas tricky to reach, or if you come across any problems, we’re here to help. We’ll provide you with all the aftercare advice you need to have a successful implant.
Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
No, Bupa Dental Care practices are open to everyone. If you do have Bupa dental insurance, at selected practices we can guide you through your claim.
