Ian is the lead dentist at Sale Moor and has worked at our practice for 28 years. He also accepts referrals for a range of dental treatments.

Ian qualified at Manchester University in 1992 and has been working at the practice ever since. In 1996, Ian also began teaching at the Manchester Dental Hospital.

Ian won the Royal College of Surgeons Research Award in 1999 and passed the Royal College of Surgeons MFGDP exam in 2001. He then went on to complete an advanced course in root fillings and gained his Denplan Excel accreditation in 2002.

In 2004, Ian completed his master’s degree at Manchester University and a year-long implant course at Trafford General Hospital. Ian also won the Oasis Dentist of the Year award in 2016.

As well as being lead practitioner at Sale Moor, Ian can also provide root fillings and gum treatments. He accepts referrals for dental implants, root canal treatment, jaw problems, and other complex cases.

Sandra has been a dentist at our practice since 2003. She provides a wide range of private dental treatments at our practice.

Sandra qualified from Newcastle University in 1990 and continued to work in the North East as part of the vocational training scheme.

Her work in private dentistry began in 1991 at a practice in Cumbria, where she worked for nine years before returning to Manchester. In 2003, she studied for a postgraduate qualification and was awarded the diploma of Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners by the Royal College of Surgeons.

In 2006, she completed a year-long, part-time certificate course in advanced restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute in London.

In 2017, Sandra completed the MSc in Advanced General Dental Practice at the University of Birmingham and, in February 2018, she was elected to the Membership in Primary Dental Care, Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

Sandra offers a wide range of dental treatments from routine to cosmetic with emphasis on allowing time to listen, understand and discuss options with patients. She’s committed to encouraging her patients to optimise their oral wellbeing through long-term monitoring of their dental and general health.

With help from the team at Sale Moor, she aims to provide quality and appropriate dental care for the whole family in a friendly and relaxed setting.

Gavin is an experienced dentist with a focus on providing oral surgery and implant dentistry to nervous patients. He also accepts referrals for implant treatment and oral surgery using dental sedation.

Gavin is an experienced dentist with a focus on providing oral surgery and implant dentistry to nervous patients. He also accepts referrals for implant treatment and oral surgery using dental sedation.

Gavin graduated from the University of Manchester in 2004, with distinction, and was awarded the Charles Preston Medal for his performance as well as the British Dental Association prize for the best overall performance throughout his final year.

After graduating and completing his vocational training, Gavin undertook two years of general professional training with the North West Deanery. During this time, Gavin completed his diploma for the Membership of Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

Gavin now focuses all his time on oral surgery and implant dentistry, where he offers NHS oral surgery referrals, private oral surgery treatments, dental implants, bone grafts and IV sedation. Most of his time is spent caring for our anxious patients, which is something Gavin takes great pride in. He is happy to accept referrals for dental implants, extractions, and treatment under IV sedation.

After undertaking training in implant dentistry with the Centre for Advanced Dental Education, Gavin extended his skillset by successfully completing a postgraduate diploma in implant dentistry with the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and the Royal College of Surgeons England.

Gavin has recently co-authored a journal article on implant dentistry for the British Dental Journal.

Lucy has recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine at Queen Mary, University of London, and her main clinical interests are in smile makeovers and facial aesthetics.

Lucy is certified to provide Invisalign aligners and enjoys helping to create beautiful smiles in the most minimally invasive ways. Lucy offers routine dentistry, composite bonding, Invisalign aligners and facial aesthetics.

Nika especially enjoys treating anxious patients and does her best to reassure all her patients and alleviate any stress surrounding their treatment journey.

Nika also enjoys seeing patients’ reactions after smile makeover procedures such as teeth whitening and stain removal. She believes that successful treatment comes down to a good dentist and patient partnership, and a strong rapport results in patients looking forward to their next visit.

Danielle is an experienced dental hygienist and therapist and previously worked as a qualified dental nurse.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Danielle moved to England when she was accepted onto a dental hygiene and therapy course at the University of Liverpool. She qualified in 2017 as a dental hygienist and therapist.

Danielle originally started her career in dentistry in 2012, working as a dental nurse for four years. However, Danielle soon realised she wanted to progress within the dental profession.

As a dental hygienist and therapist, Danielle carries out a variety of treatments including general cleaning and periodontal treatment, fillings, teeth whitening, children's teeth extractions and general oral hygiene instruction.

Danielle is passionate about her job and enjoys treating all her patients, making their experience as relaxed and comfortable as possible. She enjoys getting to know her patients, building a good relationship with them and making them smile.

She hopes to start building up her skills further by training in facial aesthetics and other courses to keep her knowledge and skills up to date. Outside of the practice, Danielle is a keen runner and has completed the Dublin Marathon!
