Prior to joining us in August 2000, Clark was a dentist at Liverpool Dental Hospital and Royal Preston Hospital. Within these positions, he gained extensive knowledge and experience within the departments of oral surgery, conscious sedation, oral medicine, and special needs dentistry.

Jacqui qualified from Liverpool Dental Hospital having also received the prestigious Lawton Medal for ‘Excellence in Restorative Dentistry.’ After qualifying, Jacqui worked in two practices in Lancashire, prior to moving to the Wirral in 1991, when she and James Eaton purchased the practice.

Jacqui is highly dedicated to her role. She enjoys keeping updated with developments in dentistry, and regularly attends dentistry courses.

Currently, Jacqui works at the practice three days a week, and she takes a keen interest in the administrative side of the practice.

Along with our dentist Jacqui, James purchased our practice in 1991. They managed the practice for several years under the name of Banks House Dental Practice. Today, James works with us as a full-time dentist.

James qualified from Liverpool Dental Hospital in 1998, and from there, worked in Lancashire for a few years, before purchasing our practice.

In his role, James enjoys providing a wide range of cosmetic treatments. He has a strong interest in cosmetic dental reconstruction and dental implants and has completed a course in implant dentistry. He works alongside Mr Mark Glynn, our visiting implant dentist, to provide high-quality implant treatment and cosmetic reconstructive dentistry.

As a dental nurse she works closely with a qualified dentist, ensuring dental sessions work as smoothly as possible. Harmony enjoys learning and development and has completed a Straumann implant course, with the hope to pursue further dental courses in the future.

Over the last few years Harmony has gained great exposure to orthodontics, oral surgery and implant nursing.

In 1984 Jenny completed her training in dental nursing within the HM Forces, then went on to carry out her duties in the Ministry of Defence, in Hong Kong and Germany.

As well as assisting dentists in the surgery, Jenny enjoys spending a large proportion of her time working on reception at the practice.

Lucie joined our practice in July 2007, whilst training for her National Certificate in Dentistry, that she gained in August 2018.

In 2010, Lucie gained a qualification in Oral Health and Fluoride Application from the University of Lancashire. In her role at Bupa Dental Care West Kirby, she puts this into practice, organising children’s dental clinics, where she applies fluoride to children’s teeth, ideally every six months. This helps to prevent cavities in younger patients.

She is dedicated to her role, and regularly attends courses to remain in touch with the latest technologies and developments.

After attaining her dental nursing qualification in 2004, Rachel gained a certificate in Radiography for Dental Nurses in 2005 at the University of Bangor. Later in 2007, she also gained a certificate in Oral Health Education from Liverpool University Dental Hospital.

While assisting our dentist, James Eaton, Rachel has gained a strong interest in cosmetic dentistry and implantology. She has also attended courses regarding functional aesthetics in clinical practice, which has provided her with the experience to make and articulate study models and use digital photography.

Prior to joining us, Julie gained knowledge and experience in NHS dental care while working on reception at local practices on the Wirral.

She initially joined our practice to help set up and train team members when the practice became computerised. Although, when a receptionist position became available in 1997, she joined us in this role. And two years later, she assumed the position of practice manager.

Julie is passionate about her role and attends dental and management related courses regularly.

No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
