On graduating from the School of Dental Sciences at Newcastle University in 2010, Iain achieved merits in both Clinical Dentistry and Academic Dentistry.

He currently divides his time between restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and enjoys the challenge of more complex cases.

Iain has a postgraduate certificate in endodontics. He has lectured to groups of dentists on short-term orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.

Originally from Northumberland, Krista studied pharmacology at Cardiff University and then went on to study dentistry at the University of Liverpool.

She graduated in 2012 and then returned to the North East to undertake general professional training, working through rotations at Newcastle Dental Hospital and in general practice in Gosforth.

Krista particularly enjoys restorative dentistry, which is why she chose to work in general practice. Dedicated to trying to preserve natural teeth, in 2016, Krista wanted to further her skills in endodontics. She has completed an MSc in Endodontology with a merit at the University of Chester.

Joao graduated from Fernando Pessoa University in Porto, Portugal in 2009. He has been practising dentistry in Birmingham for the last nine years and recently moved to Newcastle.

He is committed to furthering his knowledge and skills and is currently completing a master’s degree in Advanced General Dental Practice at the University of Birmingham. This has enabled him to enhance his clinical technique and theoretical understanding of dentistry.

Joao enjoys all aspects of dental treatment but has a particular interest in aesthetics and minimally invasive dentistry.

She has experience in treating patients with dental anxiety, including those with severe dental phobia.

As a member of the British Society of Periodontology, she likes to keep up to date and regularly attends courses and seminars.

Deborah has been working in dentistry for 22 years. She was a dental nurse for 12 years before qualifying as a dental hygienist. She enjoys all aspects of her role and takes pride in reassuring and comforting nervous patients.

Outside of the practice, Deborah works part-time at a local vets, out of hours.

At the end of 2018, Ashleigh took on the part-time role of patient co-ordinator. She has a caring nature and enjoys getting to know patients and providing support for patients with dental anxiety.

Ashleigh has a passion for learning and in the future hopes to gain even more experience and knowledge in dentistry.

Jessica has always wanted to work within healthcare and joined the practice in 2014. She loves her role as a dental nurse.

She qualified in 2016 with a diploma in Dental Nursing level 3 QCF City & Guilds. Since then, she has actively developed her skill set by attending courses to progress her knowledge further, including a phlebotomy course, which she completed in 2017.

Lorraine works as our lead dental nurse here at Bupa Dental Care Morpeth. She has worked at the practice, on and off, for over 25 years.

Lorraine qualified as a dental nurse from Newcastle College in 1993 then went on to gain further qualifications in oral health education and dental radiology. She has since gained her Level 4 in business and management.

Lorraine loves to keep up to date with all aspects of dental nursing with regular training.
