A private dental clinic

Located just nine miles outside Leeds City Centre, and three miles from Halifax, you’ll find the charming Yorkshire village of Lightcliffe, home to this state-of-the-art dental and implant clinic, quite unlike any you’ve visited before. We’re situated in a listed church with outstanding original features, tastefully redesigned into the modern clinic you see today.

Here at The Old Church Dental Practice, we offer private general dentistry, including check-ups and hygiene appointments as well as a wide range of specialist treatments. And we offer emergency appointments.

Our dentists are experienced in placing dental implants, including All-on-4 implant-retained dentures. And we offer a range of treatments to improve your smile. With our clear and invisible orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign, Cfast and Inman Aligners, we can straighten your teeth to help you achieve a more confident smile. We also offer smile makeovers and cosmetic bonding.

The ambience for our patients is very important, so we offer our dental treatments within a visually stunning, yet relaxed and personalised environment. The interior of the church is bright and airy and the sun that catches the beautiful stained-glass window in the late afternoon is wonderful. Our patients always comment on how relaxed and calm the Practice is and how beautiful a practice we have.

Our dental referral services

Our clinical team includes specialists in endodontics (root canal treatment) and restorative dentistry. We accept referrals from other practices as well as direct access from our website and from recommended patients.

Branded treatments and services

Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

No, Bupa Dental Care practices are open to everyone. If you do have Bupa dental insurance, at selected practices we can guide you through your claim.

First, please check that our practice offers the services you’re looking for, then simply use the referral form on our contact page. Do feel free to give us a call and tell us what you’re looking for.
