Situated close to Southampton Common, our practice has been providing private dental care to the local community for over 20 years. Dentists refer their patients to us from far and wide due to our excellent reputation and the range of complex dentistry we offer. We’re welcoming new private patients to register with us and aim to provide an excellent experience and high-quality dental care, whatever your dental needs.

When we were looking 15 or 16 years ago at what to call the practice, I was reminded that the most important part of what we offer patients—above the skills, the technology, and the ability to do what we do is confidence. I think Dental Confidence sums up how we feel about the gift we try to offer patients. We have referring dentists who need to have confidence that we're going to look after their patients properly and send them back happy. We also need to help patients adopt confidence in the dental treatment we're offering. Patients need to have the confidence to know that if they're not 100% happy the first time, we're going to keep going until they are.

I'm Mary Joslyn and I'm a patient at the Dental Confidence in Southampton. Through an illness my teeth got very bad and it was just no way of keeping them. So I came, saw Peter and he kindly took me over and it's been wonderful since then. I got a smile. He came in and obviously he took lots of photographs, X-rays and asked me lots of questions and just put me at ease at first, to be quite honest. And then he just said what he had to be done. He showed me everything on the screen and then we did the bottom first because they were so bad. And then I just said, oh, the bottom looks so good, I want the top done. So that's when we started again. You know, it's precise. So now I did. I don't really know. I've got them in. It's given me far more confidence. It just made me feel as if I was getting back to what I was before. The patients Tracy and Peter had with me was brilliant, absolutely. I just can't thank them enough. And the girls in everybody was so, so kind. Anybody who wants a good job done, really to feel confident and get there in the end. He's meticulous, what he does, he's very, very good. So you know, anybody should come along and say if they need help, he's the best person. In Mary's case, which is a great example of a smile in a day treatment protocol, she was right at the end of her tether and her her mouth was failing as a result, her confidence was affected and she was really desperate for somebody to be able to offer a solution. And, and we looked through the range of solutions And sadly, when, when the teeth and or the Bony support around the teeth has come to the end of its life, then we're realistically left with it's either dentures or it's implants. So fortunately, implants has come along as a as a treatment option that allows us to provide implant support to false teeth in a variety of ways. The challenge is if we, if we start with a patient who's got a failing restoration and we want to give them something secure and that and restore their confidence, we have to have a journey from one to the other. And that's where Smile in a Day becomes an amazing solution for them because they can walk into the surgery after the planning and the the scanning. They can walk into the surgery with this failing dentition, failing mouth. We can remove all the infected material, remove the failing teeth and place the implants at the same appointment and fit a pre made bridge that gives them immediately something to go home smiling with. That's a very overwhelming experience for all of us because seeing somebody who comes in lacking in confidence with a failing mouth and going home with a smile and confidence restored instantly one day is remarkable.

Hello, my name's Jane Whitfield.

I'm a patient at Dental Confidence.

Initially, I came here for teeth whitening.

I've always been a very anxious dental patient, and it gave me the confidence to come back again when I needed implant surgery, probably about a year later.

So when Jane first came through the door, we could straight away tell that she was a bit of a nervous patient.

We tried our best to make her welcome in the practice and, first of all, listened to what she wanted and what she needed.

We offered her a few options, but she was very keen on the implant solution, which in her case was the best way to go.

I think she was aware that I was quite anxious.

She was very calm.

She talked through everything in advance before we started the treatment.

I just felt really comfortable.

Everything was very professional in a relaxing atmosphere.

I would like to thank her for calming me down at times, reassuring me, and relieving my anxiety.

She was always smiling and she really helped with the whole process, and I'm really pleased now with the end result.

It's given me back a full mouth of teeth, not needing to worry when I chew food.

Yeah, it's been really positive.

Yeah, I'm so happy with the treatment I've had here.

I would definitely recommend to friends and family. I didn’t realise it could be this easy to restore my smile and make me feel more confident.

Several local buses stop near the practice, departing from Southampton Central Station, St Denys and the city centre. If you’re driving, we have free on-site parking at the practice and there is also on-street parking available.
