Starting her career in the Women’s Royal Navy Service, Kendal originally trained as a dental nurse before qualifying as a hygienist.
After leaving the Royal Navy, she worked in a dental practice in the northwest of England before training and qualifying as a hygienist at Manchester University Dental Hospital in 1991.
Kendal enjoys keeping up with the latest hygienist procedures and techniques and regularly attends courses and conferences. She is particularly interested in patient education and motivation.
