Jigar studied dentistry at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas' Dental Institute before undertaking further training in implant dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, paediatric dentistry and cosmetic dentistry.

He subsequently completed specialist and consultant training and won a British Orthodontic Society Medal for his orthodontic treatment outcomes. During his career, Jigar has won several awards. He was the Orthodontics Winner 2016 and Adult Orthodontics Winner 2018 at the Aesthetics Awards. He was also a finalist at the Dentistry Awards in 2017 and achieved the Child/Teenager Highly Commended Aesthetics Award in 2018.

In addition to his clinical work, Jigar enjoys teaching, lecturing and is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons. He has lectured and presented work both nationally and internationally, including the British and American National Orthodontic Conferences. His work has been published in professional peer-reviewed journals and he’s currently a board member for Dental Protection.

Jigar is currently the clinical lead and consultant orthodontist at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. This involves treating complex orthodontic cases at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage and at the New QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City.

Jigar is certified and experienced in a range of orthodontic treatments, including ceramic fixed braces, Damon self-ligating braces, lingual braces and clear Invisalign aligners. He enjoys keeping up to date in the field of orthodontics and working with his colleagues to deliver quality care.
