About supporting treatments
Dental implants are a long-lasting, discreet way to restore missing or failing teeth. Occasionally, supporting treatments are needed before having implants to help restore bone in the jaw.

Bone grafts
Bone grafting is sometimes needed if you don’t have enough natural bone in your jaw to have an implant placed. It’s a surgical procedure that replaces bone around your missing teeth, making it possible for you to have an implant.
Sinus lifts
A sinus lift is a surgical procedure which involves placing a bone graft between your upper jaw and the membrane of the sinuses that are closest to your back teeth. It’s sometimes needed before having implants placed in your upper jaw. The graft naturally fuses with your jaw, allowing an implant to be placed.
CBCT scans
CBCT scanners produce a collection of 3D images of your mouth and jaw. These help your dentist plan the precise placement of implants. It’s similar to having an X-ray.
