You’re invited to register interest for a free virtual CPD event, which covers all core CPD topics (as recommended by the GDC) for the entire team – dentists, hygienists, therapists, nurses, practice managers, receptionists, and labs. All delivered by key speakers from the dental industry.

This free virtual event will be presented through Microsoft Teams from 9am until 12.30 pm on Saturday 20th May 2023
The event will be hosted by Sarah Ramage, Clinical Director of Bupa Dental Care and you will have the opportunity to hear from a range of guest speakers, all of whom are experts in their respective fields.
You will have access to all sessions as some sessions will be repeated, meaning you can get all your core topics covered in one morning.
With our flexible timetable you can attend three different sessions and gain three free hours of verifiable CPD.

The personal data you provide during the registration process will be used to provide you with the event details, and will be securely deleted once the CPD certificates have been sent to you, unless you have told us you want to hear about career opportunities at Bupa Dental Care, in which case we will retain your name, email address and practice/university information; or you wish to be contacted about future events, in which case we will retain your email address.

Specialist in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology
Rebecca gained a dental degree in 1996 and has worked in general practice and then in the hospital in OMFS and oral medicine prior to commencing specialist training in dental and maxillofacial radiology. Currently Rebecca has a locum consultant post at UCL and is also director of a private CBCT reporting service. She has been involved in undergraduate and post graduate teaching, taught on NEBDN accredited dental radiography courses and is an examiner for the Royal College of Radiologists.
Rebecca has worked as a consultant in dental and maxillofacial radiology since 2008. Her scope of practice includes reporting plain film, ultrasound, CT, CBCT. She has been involved in undergraduate and post graduate teaching and she is an examiner for the diploma in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology for the Royal College of Radiologists.

Dento- Legal update
Raj Rattan graduated from University College Hospital, London. After a short spell as an associate, he became a partner at a practice in Oxford and later acquired additional practices in Bromley, Kent. His career portfolio includes consultancy and advisory services to the NHS, corporate and private sector. He is a former policy adviser at the department of health and been heavily involved in postgraduate dental education for over 25 years -first as a programme director and more recently as strategic associate dean in London. His publications include articles, contributions to books and e-learning resources, and he is the author/co-author of several textbooks on various aspects of general dental practice. He has sat on a number of editorial boards over the years and has lectured extensively throughout the UK, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean. He has worked at Dental Protection for over 20 years as a part-time dento-legal adviser and senior dento-legal consultant and is now dental director. Outside dentistry, his interests include motorsport, creative writing and he is an active member of The Magic Circle.

After completing his dentistry (BDS 1992) at Sheffield University and Medicine (MBBS 2001) at the Royal Free London, Nicholas undertook training in oral and maxillofacial surgery within London at St George’s Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, University College Hospital and the Eastman Dental Hospital.
Laura Edgar

Managing Director at Aura Infection Control Ltd
Laura has been leading the decontamination advisors at Aura Infection control for over 10 years supporting practices up and down the country with improving decontamination practice and DUWL management.
Laura trained in decontamination and management at Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Sunderland gaining her teaching qualification in 2019. Laura is a current education committee member for the Infection Prevention Society and teaches the ILM decontamination in a dental setting qualification.
Matthew Trerise
Neurodiversity Autism Awareness Autism Advanced CPD & Liaison Facilitator
Matthew has 20 years’ experience supporting autistic people in a wide range of care settings. Since 2009 Matthew has worked in a specialist autism diagnostic service for adults within the NHS, offering diagnostic assessment, post diagnostic support, training and consultancy for professionals. Outside of his NHS role he also provides training for employers on autism & neurodiversity in the workplace.

Neil Richardson has been a specialist financial adviser at Wesleyan Financial Services for 14 years, supporting dentists with their financial planning. Neil is now a regional manager for Wesleyan and looks after a large team of specialist financial advisers in the North of England. Wesleyan Financial Services has supported hundreds of dentists to protect or make the most of their finances.
