A warm welcome to our practice
Situated in the small town of Ivybridge, Highland Dental Care is dedicated to providing high quality, modern dental treatments with a personal touch. We’ve been serving the local community for over 20 years and pride ourselves on our patient care.
Our dedicated Treatment Co-ordinator, Amanda works closely with our dentists and is on hand to discuss the right treatment options with our patients as soon as they’ve had a consultation. She’ll even book in treatments and follow-up with patients after their procedures.
We want you to be at ease when you visit our practice, which is why you’ll have access to free Wi-Fi and refreshments. If you’re a nervous patient, we offer a private lounge to help you relax before your appointment.
Our dental treatments and services
We offer a wide range of dental treatments, including general check-ups, hygiene appointments, veneers and cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening. We also provide an extensive range of teeth straightening treatments, including Invisalign aligners, Damon and Ortho-Care. If you’re a nervous patient, please speak to our team about the sedation options we offer.
We’ve been placing dental implants since 2000 and we receive referrals from far and wide for implant treatments. We also offer ‘smile in a day’ treatment, which involves fitting a full set of dental implants and a temporary set of natural-fixed teeth in one day. Get in touch with us to find out more.
A team that supports nervous patients
If you have a fear of going to the dentist, you’re not alone. Dental anxiety is a recognised concern for many people. At Highland Dental Care, it’s important to us that you feel as relaxed and reassured as possible throughout your treatment and we offer a warm and friendly approach to make sure your visit is a comfortable one.
If you are a particularly nervous patient, we also offer dental sedation, allowing you to remain conscious but in a state of relaxation as your treatment takes place.
Flexibility with you in mind
We know how hard it can be to find time in your busy schedule for dental appointments, which is why we offer extended hours four days a week. We’re open 8am to 7pm Monday to Thursday and also open 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. Give us a call today and book an appointment at a time that suits you.
Getting to our practice
We’re located just off the A38 which is ideal if you’re commuting from Exeter and Plymouth. We offer free parking at the practice and there is also street parking available nearby. There are also several buses that stop close to the practice. Our practice is fully wheelchair accessible.

Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
