A warm welcome to Malt House Specialist Dental Centre
Based within the old ‘Malt House’ of the Threlfalls Brewery in Salford, our practice provides a wide range of specialist dental treatments and services in unique and beautiful surroundings.
These include general dentistry, endodontics, dental implants and more complex cosmetic treatments.
Opened as a newly-refurbished practice in 2002, our practice holds all the modern essentials both in dentistry and patient care, including free Wi-Fi and refreshments while you wait. As well as caring for our patients, we also welcome referrals from other dentists.
Our dental treatments and services
We offer a range of dental services, from routine check-ups and hygiene appointments to more complex treatments such as dental implants and root canals. We also provide cosmetic dentistry, including teeth whitening and veneers, and the orthodontic solution, Invisalign clear aligners. Facial aesthetics are also available, please get in touch to find out more.
Our treatments are delivered with high-quality care, in a friendly and comfortable environment. If you’re a nervous patient, please speak to our team about our sedation and relaxation options. We also offer emergency appointments if you need to be seen quickly.
A practice with a history
Built in 1896, our practice is based within a Grade II listed building which was originally a part of Threlfalls Brewery, one of the largest breweries in the United Kingdom. This historical building was redeveloped in 2001, becoming the urban business village you see today.
Getting to us
We’re based within the Deva Centre business park just off Trinity Way. If you’re coming by foot you can access a pedestrian entrance on Chapel Street at the rear of the Lowry Hotel. If you’re driving, we provide limited free parking at the Practice but there are also excellent public transport links nearby including Victoria and Salford Central train stations.
Referrals from other dentists
We offer a range of specialisms in complex dentistry including periodontics (gum disease) and endodontics (root canals). We also have an oral surgeon, who can perform full-mouth reconstructions and we treat TMJ disorders (issues with the jaw hinge). Our team is dedicated to patient care and receive a high number of referrals from dentists across the North West for a range of services. Referring dentists are happy with our standard of care. To refer a patient to us please get in touch.

Clear aligners which gradually straighten your teeth.

A safe and effective way to whiten your smile – either at the practice or at home.
Patient feedback
Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
