Dr Simon Hegarty is a dentist with a special interest in Endodontics.

Training and experience

Dr Simon Hegarty graduated from University of Wales College of Medicine in 2002, completing his vocational training in Newbridge. He then moved to Ireland and spent five years in private practice before returning to work in South Wales and Bristol. He has a wealth of experience in providing both NHS and private practice over the past 20 years, and is now focused on a special interest in root canal treatments.

Simon is currently entering his final year at the University of Plymouth to complete his master’s degree in endodontics. Simon is also a clinical advisor with the General Dental Council.

Treatment offered

Simon thoroughly enjoys working in dentistry and providing root canal treatments to his patients.

Simon accepts private referrals for:

Complex primary treatment

Re-treatment

Instrument/post removal

Management of trauma/perforation repair

Microsurgical endodontics referrals are also welcome for endodontic treatment to be carried out using specialist skills and equipment to maximise a successful outcome

Simon currently lives in Cardiff with his wife and three children who he absolutely loves to spend time with. He also enjoys a bit of rugby and visiting the coast when he can.
