After graduating in India, Cornelius came to the UK and has worked in various UK hospitals gaining further qualifications and experience in oral surgery.

Cornelius has a wealth of experience within oral and maxillofacial surgery, working at local hospitals and within Bupa Dental Care, along with general dentistry within our very busy NHS practice.

In his spare time, Cornelius is a Royal College of Surgeons of England examiner for the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties examinations and is also an accredited primary care minor oral surgery performer, North Lancs.

After qualifying, James worked in a number of different areas within the UK including Merseyside and Lancashire. His last position saw him working for the dental access service in Morecambe where emergency dental cases are cared for.

James joined the Cleveley team in 2013 and has a particular interest in surgical dentistry, in which he has completed a minor oral surgery course in Barrow-in-Furness.

Kirsty attained a degree in psychology before graduating as a dentist. She has since worked in both practice in Fleetwood and Blackpool and at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester. In 2014, Kirsty joined the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh having passed the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery exam.

No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
