Transit Way Dental & Implant Clinic, located in Honicknowle, Plymouth, welcomes private patients from across Devon, Cornwall and beyond.
Our practice has been recently refurbished and you’ll find a relaxed, modern space with experienced, welcoming staff. Before your appointment, you can relax in our lovely reception area and enjoy the free Wi-Fi and refreshments we have to offer.
Dental treatments and services
At our practice, we offer the usual general dental services, like check-ups and hygiene appointments, as well as a variety of other treatments.
If you’re looking to tweak your smile, we can give smile makeovers using a combination of cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening, composite bonding and discreet Invisalign teeth straightening. If you’re interested in facial aesthetic treatments to complement your new smile, speak to us about your options. We also provide dental implants to replace missing teeth.
If you have an unexpected dental problem, we can provide same-day emergency appointments. Just get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.

How to find us
Our wheelchair-friendly practice is just off Crownhill Road in the Transit Way Retail Park, right before Argos. If you’re driving to us, the practice is easily accessible from the A38 via the Crownhill and Derriford roundabout, and there’s free parking on-site.
We’re 15 minutes by car from Plymouth’s main train station and a two-minute walk from the local bus stops in Transit Way Retail Park, which serve the routes 50, 51, 61 and 62.

Lydia qualified as a dental nurse in 2008. She has undertaken many implant courses and still nurses for implant placements and surgical treatments. She returned to Plymouth in 2009, joining our practice as an implant nurse. She took on the role of practice manager in 2017.
Sharon Slater
Having worked at the practice for over 12 years, Sharon has built up a good rapport with our patients and strives to achieve a good understanding of their needs. She is a familiar face and always looks forward to welcoming patients, old and new.

Patient feedback
Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
