Around 50% of UK employees either have, or will one day, go through menopause*.
It’s a natural phase of life for many.
And yet the majority are unwilling to disclose menopause-related health problems to line managers**, and 1 in 4 consider leaving their jobs altogether due to a combination of severe symptoms and lack of workplace support^.
At Bupa, we believe normalising conversations about menopause and offering more support to those struggling with the symptoms it may bring could change lives. That’s why this month we’ve launched our new Women’s Health Hub, focusing initially on menopause.
On the hub your clients can find a guide for managers, as well as materials they can share with their employees to help support them and spread awareness and understanding. The hub also features videos of women sharing their personal experiences of menopause in and outside the workplace, Bupa experts sharing key information and advice, and numerous articles on the variety of topics and concerns that can arise with the menopause.
We’re continuously adding to our Women’s Health Hub, with resources to support with endometriosis coming next, so please remember to keep checking in here for more news and updates.
