Care services for Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and complex needs
Get the right level of care and support
If you or your loved one develop a long-term neurological condition such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease or an acquired brain injury or physical disability, it’s vital you get the right level of care and support.
Some of our care homes provide specialist care for these conditions, helping residents with complex needs or physical disabilities to live the way they want to. We do this by offering 24-hour tailored care and supporting as much independence as possible.

The types of conditions we support
It’s important to find a home that offers the right care and an environment you can thrive in. We have many care homes that offer focused care to meet specialist needs, whether on a temporary or long-term basis.
Parkinson’s disease
A number of our homes offer specialist care for those living with the neurological condition Parkinson’s disease, which can make daily life increasingly difficult.
Multiple Sclerosis
Advanced Multiple Sclerosis (MS) can make everyday activities and routines become difficult, such as washing and getting dressed. Our homes offer personalised care for those living with multiple sclerosis.
Physical disabilities
We support those with a wide range of physical disabilities, whether mobility issues or chronic conditions such as arthritis. Our care homes can provide specialist care for those living with a physical disability.
Brain or spine injuries and conditions
Our care homes can provide round-the-clock support for those living with a neurological condition such as a brain injury or spinal cord injury, or the effects of a stroke.
Huntington's
We cater for a broad range of needs when it comes to caring for people living with Huntington's disease. Our specialist home, Colonia Court, provides care and support when it's needed and encourages independence, helping each resident to lead as full and active life as possible. Whether you're staying with us long-term or just for a short period, we want every resident to feel very much at home.
Personalised care
Everyone has different likes and preferences, which is why we put together a care plan that works around residents’ routines and how they’d like us to help them on a day-to-day-basis.
Our care plan
Depending on the resident’s needs, our care plan may focus on things like movement, communication and behaviour. If they’re recovering from an injury, or their condition progresses or changes, they’ll have access to support for things like mental health, speech and language.
Regular visits from specialists
There’s often a mixture of friendly professionals around the home, all there to make sure our residents’ needs are consistently met while living with us. This includes:
- GPs
- speech and language therapists
- physiotherapists
- dietitians
- neurophysiologists
- occupational therapists
- psychologist
Specialist treatments
Some of our rehabilitation homes have their own therapy gym, giving residents access to slow steam rehabilitation. This is great for preventing any secondary complications and maximizing their movement.
