World Menopause Day

18 October 2021

Hosted annually by the International Menopause Society on 18th October, World Menopause Day helps to raise awareness about the issues women can face prior, during and after the menopause.

The awareness day brings to light the menopause as a whole and the various support options available for women to improve both health and wellbeing.

View our Vlog here to hear more about this issue with our partners Liz Earle Wellbeing and the Wellbeing of Women charity.

How Bupa can help your clients

3.5 million of Britain’s female employees are over 50, therefore it’s likely they’re approaching or going through the menopause. Menopausal women are the fastest growing sector of the workforce, so it makes sense for your clients’ workplaces to adapt and retain talent.

Bupa’s Menopause Plan provides personalised support for your clients including:

  • A pre-appointment questionnaire and symptom checker
  • 45 minutes to talk to a GP specially trained in menopause care
  • A 15-minute follow-up appointment after 12 weeks with the same GP
  • A tailored action plan based around your personal needs
  • If employees need referring to a specialist, any tests or a prescription∗∗, we can help arrange that
  • 24/7 menopause support from Bupa nurses, via the Bupa Anytime HealthLine

For businesses looking to offer the Menopause Plan, it is £250 pay-as-you-go. Call the Bupa bookings team now on 0333 363 7804 or go to bupa.co.uk/menopause-plan for more information.
