For our mental health
Supporting the wider community by championing our mental wellbeing
We champion positive mental health, and we fund community projects that provide vital support.

The Bupa Foundation
The Bupa Foundation runs three programmes which have a positive impact on people’s mental health. These include:
- Partnering with Mind – providing funding for online wellbeing resources to support 11–25 year olds with their mental health. This aims to reach 2.5m young people by the end of 2022.
- Wellbeing for Educators – free wellbeing workshops for school staff.
- Community Committees – where Bupa employees in Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, London and Staines support local charities that help vulnerable people by providing grants, volunteering and fundraising for them.
Bupa employees can also use volunteering days to support charities of their choice.

The impact so far
- The Bupa Foundation has supported the mental health charity Mind in producing online resources for young people, including how to cope with the impact of the pandemic.
- Over 3,000 young people and educators accessed resources for the Bupa Foundation's Beyond Words programme, which encourages creative writing to support mental wellbeing.
- Bupa Dental Care supports Dentaid, which provides free dental care for homeless and vulnerable people.
- In 2020, the Bupa Foundation provided emergency funding and support to help communities deal with the impact of the pandemic; for example, through charities supporting those affected by homeless and domestic violence.
