Welcome to Bupa Dental Care Gaer
Bupa Dental Care Gaer, in Newport, has been looking after the local community in Gwent since 1987. Starting as just a one-surgery practice, we now have four modern surgeries and offer a range of NHS and private dental services. We’re accepting new private patients to register.
Dental treatments
At Bupa Dental Care Gaer, we offer a range of general dental services, such as check-ups, fillings and hygiene appointments. We also offer cosmetic dentistry services. We place veneers and offer teeth whitening solutions, including whitening kits, such as Philips ZOOM!.
We can provide orthodontic treatment to help you achieve straighter teeth, using almost invisible systems such as Cfast.
Facial and other aesthetic treatments
Besides dentistry, we offer a range of aesthetic treatments. Please enquire and we’ll be very happy to discuss your options with you.
Accessibility
One of our surgeries is wheelchair friendly but please note, unfortunately there isn’t access to the toilet in the Practice.

So we want to let you know, that for some more complicated treatments (like teeth straightening, implants etc.), due to the personalised nature of the treatment, the cost may vary to what is shown below. No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
