Alex developed a love of dentistry from a very early age and could often be found as a young child during the school holidays playing with teeth in his father’s dental laboratory. As Alex grew older, he began helping his father out on a regular basis.

He qualified as a dentist in Romania in 2002 where he worked until 2012 before moving to the UK. His goal is to provide quality dental care and treatment to his patients in a safe and comfortable environment.

Alex is always looking to improve his skills and learn new techniques in the profession. He has completed a number of courses including a restorative and aesthetics level two certificate, as well as courses in minor oral surgery, short-term orthodontics, facial aesthetics and digital dentistry.

Alex prides himself on his calm and supportive demeanour, which is popular with nervous patients at the practice. Outside the practice, Alex is a certified hypnotist and master neuro-linguistic programming practitioner.

Asrar has over 20 years’ experience in the field of oral surgery. He is a fellow and master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI); a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (FDS); and a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP) of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD). Asrar keeps his dental implant knowledge up-to-date by regularly attending national and international courses and conferences. He is director of the ITI East Sussex study club, and is also a registered speaker for the ITI.

Eleanor qualified in dentistry in 2010 and has a strong interest in endodontics. She joined Bupa Dental Care Brighton Carden Avenue in 2016.

Eleanor began her journey in the dental industry in a vocational trainee position, and then became a dentist at the same organisation. She moved to Brighton in 2014.

In 2018, Eleanor began a three-year master's programme in endodontics, and has so far been awarded a postgraduate certificate.

Aside from endodontics (root canal treatment), Eleanor enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is passionate about supporting and treating nervous patients, and treating children.

No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
