Full terms and conditions:

  1. In these terms and conditions, references to “Bupa” are to Bupa Insurance Limited, which may act through its agent Bupa Insurance Services Limited.
  2. Eligible clients who currently hold a comparable health insurance product through another provider (the “Current Provider”) will receive a price match guarantee (the “Offer”) when purchasing a new Bupa Select Company PMI Policy (the “Select Policy”) subject to these terms and conditions. The Offer cannot be used against any other Bupa product or service.
  3. The Offer is available to UK-based small or medium sized corporate entities (including, for example, companies, partnerships, and associations) covering between 2 and 249 members inclusive (“SMEs”) who purchase a new Select Policy directly from Bupa.
  4. The Offer is not available for SME clients who currently hold a comparable health insurance product through an intermediary, who intend to purchase a new Select Policy through an intermediary, or who currently hold a policy for any Bupa product or service.
  5. The Offer is only available for new SME clients switching from their Current Provider who receive a quote for a Select Policy between 1 September 2024 and 31 October 2024 inclusive. Quotes are valid for 28 days and the Select Policy must have a start date between 1 September 2024 and 31 October 2024 inclusive. Bupa’s standard Terms of Business and Bupa Select Policy Terms & Conditions will apply.
  6. The Offer is not available when purchasing a Select Policy online through Bupa Connect and the start date of the new Select Policy must match the end of the current policy so there is no break in cover.
  7. Eligible clients switching from their Current Provider must hold a policy that is similar or equivalent to a Bupa Select Policy with regards to benefits provided, benefit limits and other services included as standard. Bupa’s decision on the eligibility of the policy provided by the Current Provider, and therefore the eligibility of the SME client for the Offer is final.
  8. To be eligible to receive a quote as part of the Offer, eligible clients must complete a Group Secretary Medical Declaration form to provide the medical history of the employees to be covered. Bupa reserves the right to exclude certain conditions covered by the new Select Policy for individual members.
  9. To be eligible for the Offer, the client must provide full details of the current policy, for example a group certificate, and full details of the proposed renewal price from the Current Provider. The renewal price for the existing policy must not increase by more than 40% or decrease by more than 20% compared to the price of the existing policy with the Current Provider. A minimum annual premium applies to the new Select Policy under the Offer which is calculated by several factors including, but not limited to, underwriting method, average age of members covered, and the overall number of members covered on the new Select Policy.
  10. As part of the Offer, a discount is applied to the total annual subscription amount of the Select Policy net of Insurance Premium Tax (“IPT”) to match the price of the existing policy. The discounted subscription amount will be stated in the quote provided and shall be applied to the first year of cover and used to calculate renewal prices of subsequent policy years for as long as the SME client continuously holds the Select Policy. The discount cannot exceed 45% or £50,000.
  11. When calculating renewal prices for a Select Policy, Bupa considers additional factors such as (but not limited to) claims history, age of members, the rising cost of healthcare and IPT, which will be factored into each year’s renewal subscription. Therefore prices may increase at renewal despite the discount applied to the total annual subscription amount.
  12. The Offer is not available if the Two-year Fixed Rate option is included with the Select Policy which guarantees the cost per member for two years at an additional cost.
  13. Bupa reserves the right to decline to offer a Select Policy in its absolute discretion, and Bupa’s decision regarding any aspect of the Offer is final.
  14. Bupa reserves the right to cancel, suspend, amend or withdraw the Offer at any point without prior notice.
  15. The Offer is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, has no cash value/alternative and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or offers.

  17. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bupa and its group companies shall not be liable to the SME client or any of its employees for any claims, damages or any other losses whatsoever under or in connection with the operation of the Offer.
  18. These terms & conditions shall be governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
