Welcome to The Mellowes Care Home in Gillingham

The Mellowes is located in the pretty town of Gillingham, close to historic Shaftesbury, with local shops and amenities within walking distance. The home has been specifically designed for residents in need of residential and nursing care.

Our highly-trained care assistants and registered nurses provide a supportive, friendly environment where our residents are given as much independence as possible.

There are two attractive courtyard gardens attached to the home, which our residents are welcome to enjoy and relax in on warmer days. Some of our rooms have views of the gardens.

Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.

This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.
