Kirsty trained as a Registered Nurse between 1989 and 1992 in Leicester. Upon qualifying, she moved to Manchester and worked as a gynaecology nurse, before training and practicing as a midwife in Salford.
After leaving her career as a midwife, Kirsty became a senior clinician for the 111 service. In 2017, Kirsty joined Bupa as one of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinicians, which enables Kirsty to use both her nurse and midwifery experience to support customers.
