Thomas Barras is currently a musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Bupa, Reading. He has a background in both clinical practice and elite sport, spending nearly a decade with the British Olympic Rowing Team and winning silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
Having worked across both NHS and private outpatient departments, Tom is particularly interested in helping people move well, recover from injury, and build lasting habits, using clear, practical advice grounded in evidence.
His approach is supported by additional training in areas such as acupuncture, Pilates and sports massage, and he has recently completed his PHICIS level 2 qualification.
Outside of work, Tom is someone who enjoys keeping active and getting stuck into new challenges. Though that does not mean he is not also partial to a quiet night in watching the football, or a good TV series.
