What is Bupa’s Weight Management Plan?
Our plan is designed to help you achieve a healthier weight in a supported way. The Weight Management Plan combines medical support, nutritional advice and behaviour change techniques to help you lose weight and keep it off. You’ll have regular check-ins with a healthcare professional who will monitor your progress and adjust your plan as needed.
Our approach focuses on long-term, sustainable changes rather than quick fixes. It is tailored to your individual needs, helping you build healthy habits and improve your overall wellbeing.

What to expect from our Weight Management Plan
Initial consultation
30 minutes | £99
You’ll get a 30-minute consultation with a Bupa clinician to talk about your weight and health goals. They’ll review your medical history and discuss whether a Weight Management Plan is suitable for you.
Included as part of your Weight Management Plan
Ongoing clinical support
Every four weeks, your clinician will check in with you to review your progress and guide you on your next steps.
Lifestyle coaching
Every four weeks, you’ll have a 30-minute call with a Bupa health advisor. Together, you’ll explore healthy habits and ways to manage challenges so you can stay on track with your long-term goals.
Follow-up appointment
Every six months, you’ll meet with a Bupa clinician. They’ll check your progress and discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
Nurse support, anytime
You’ll have access to the Bupa Anytime HealthLine throughout your plan. Our nurses are available 24/7 to answer questions and offer guidance, from managing side effects to helping you use your injections safely.
Am I eligible for the Weight Management Plan?
You’re eligible for a Weight Management Plan if you:
- are over the age of 18
- have a BMI over 30
- have a BMI over 27 and a weight-related condition
You can check your body mass index and eligibility using our BMI calculator.
We can now accept people with type 2 diabetes onto the Weight Management Plan
Exclusions may apply on certain medications, and you will be required to provide evidence of medications and the result of a recent HbA1c test. Please speak to your GP or a Bupa GP for more details.
