What’s the difference between Bupa Blua Health and the Babylon app?

As with Babylon, you can use Bupa Blua Health to book appointments, track prescriptions, and get on-the-go support with Symptom Checker. However, sign-in is simple with a Bupa digital account. And soon you will be able to move seamlessly between Bupa apps without having to enter your details again.

Can I continue using the Babylon app?

Both apps will be available to use for a limited time until the Babylon app is closed for Bupa users. However, we recommend switching to the Bupa Blua Health app as soon as possible to make sure it’s ready for whenever you might need it.

Do I have to download an app to use Bupa Blua Health?

Yes, this is a brand-new app called Bupa Blua Health and it is available to download from the App Store for iOS users and Google Play for Android users. You need this app to access the digital GP service available as part of your Bupa cover.

How do I download Bupa Blua Health?

If you’re viewing this on your phone, search ‘Bupa Blua Health’ or download directly from the relevant app store below. If you’re on a desktop, simply open your phone’s camera and scan the QR code to get started.

If I already have a Babylon account, do I need to create a Bupa Blua Health account?

No. This is a completely new Bupa app, so you will use your Bupa details to access it.

Already have a Bupa digital account

If you’ve used Bupa Touch or Be.Me before, you can simply sign in with those details to get going right away.

New to Bupa’s digital services

Open the app and follow a number of simple steps to create an account – entering your details exactly as they appear on your Bupa cover.

And that’s it – you can now book and manage appointments, check your symptoms, get prescriptions delivered, and more using Bupa Blua Health.

What if I have issues creating an account or signing in because I can t remember what personal details I used?

When creating an account, make sure the personal information you enter matches the details exactly as they appear on your cover.

When signing in, you can click 'Forgotten your email address?' or 'Forgotten your password?' for help finding out and resetting those if you can’t remember.

Does my partner or child need to download the app to use Bupa Blua Health?

Anyone over the age of 16 who is named on your cover needs to download Bupa Blua Health and create their own Bupa digital account to access this digital GP service.

Children under the age of 16 named on your cover will be automatically added to the main member’s Bupa Blua Health app, with any appointments needing to be booked using that account.

Will my appointment history be moved over from Babylon to Bupa Blua Health?

Only appointments and any on-going care, including prescriptions and referrals, arranged via Bupa Blua Health will appear in the Bupa Blua Health app. However, you will still be able to use the Babylon app to view all previous appointment history and any linked healthcare information as needed.

Clinicians from Babylon, who remain our digital GP service partner, will have access to your records before and after the switch to Bupa Blua Health.

Can I have an appointment with a doctor I’ve seen before?

Many of the clinicians found within Babylon can also be booked using Bupa Blua Health. However, even if your previous doctor or healthcare professional is not available, all clinicians providing this digital GP service meet the high standards of Bupa care.

If I have an upcoming appointment in Babylon, should I book a new one in Bupa Blua Health?

No, please continue to use the Babylon app and attend your appointment as normal, as it’s important to receive any care you need first. Once your appointment is over, you can switch to Bupa Blua Health.

Will using Bupa Blua Health affect my premium?

No, your premium will not be affected. You’re eligible for this digital GP service through your current cover. Bupa Blua Health is simply replacing Babylon as the way for you to access it.

Does it cost anything to download the app?

No, the app is completely free to download. You’re eligible for Bupa Blua Health through your current cover so there are no additional costs for using this service.

How easy is it to book an appointment with Bupa Blua Health?

In just a few taps, you can select a date and time that works for you. Our digital GP service lets you talk to health professionals by video or phone call, day or night, including weekends and bank holidays.
