Welcome to Abbotsleigh Mews Care Home in Sidcup

newly refurbished

Abbotsleigh Mews is a purpose-built care home made up of four single-story houses to offer a range of care in sensitive and supportive environments. Berens House offers nursing dementia care, MacMaillan House is for nursing for the physically frail, Calvin House is for residents needing residential dementia care, and Smythe House offers residential care for the physically frail.

Our registered nurses and well-trained care assistants know that it's important to create a friendly atmosphere at the home, giving all our residents as much independence as possible, while also making sure that they have all the care and help they require.

You can make an appointment by calling us and booking in a visit with our home manager.  We have an open door policy, so you’re welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we advise you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy.

Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.

This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.
