How we’re keeping our residents safe from coronavirus (COVID-19)
As ever, the care and safety of our residents and our people continues to be our highest priority during these unprecedented times. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to look after our residents and their loved ones.
We’re following strict infection control measures in all our homes
Be assured we’re taking extra measures to prevent the spread of infection in each of our homes, including frequent deep cleaning and rolling out testing for our staff and residents.
We have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our homes have been supplied with the necessary supplies of PPE, and our in-house procurement team is ready to source further supplies if needed.
We’re keeping residents and their loved ones connected
We’re doing everything we can to keep our residents connected to their loved ones and the wider community, from video calls to letters and our new Bupa Buddy service.

A restful home for an active social life or quiet contemplation
Sat close to the heart of the national forest, Ashby has wide, wheelchair friendly grounds alongside warm communal lounges to be enjoyed by both residents and their families.

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Residents can take part in tending the garden, playing music on the piano, and taking time out to spend time with relatives in social rooms.
Stunning garden features and gazebo entertainment
Outside, we have a secure, wheelchair-friendly garden with a patio, fishpond and gazebo. Raised flower beds mean that anyone can do a little gentle gardening in the fresh air.

Private rooms for special occasions
We’re happy for families to host events such as a birthday or other occasions and we can provide a private space for the residents.

Take time out to relax in a number of quiet spaces
Our home has many quiet spaces for the residents as well as many lounges for them to use.

There’s no typical day at Ashby Court, we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Reignite old or new hobbies
Residents can continue most of their existing hobbies at Ashby Court. They can also suggest something they’d like to try, as a group or in their room.

Become a master at bowling
On sunny days take part in a game of nine pin bowling in our lovely gardens.

Enjoy a variety of traditional games
We run many traditional games such as bingo, bridge, and carpet bowls as well as many others if requested.

“People were protected from avoidable risks. Risks associated with people’s care were assessed and managed to protect people from harm. Regular safety checks had been carried out on the environment and the equipment used for people’s care to ensure that they were safe. Staff had received training and supervision to meet the needs of the people who used the service.”
"My father has been a resident on the dementia unit for 12 months. The staff are very patient with him, which as a family we value highly. Both personal hygiene and the cleanliness of the room is excellent; dad is always nicely dressed and shaved. The home's approach to Covid has been great, keeping Dad safe through the peak of the pandemic. Although the weekly charges are higher than other homes we viewed, you receive the level of care you pay for."
Daughter of Resident, 29 June 2021, carehome.co.uk
"The staff and facilities at Ashby Court are excellent and the care they provide to my father is second to none. Highly recommend." Son of Resident, 29 June 2021. "I have been in the care home for eleven months now and am well looked after. Staff cannot do enough for you. They take care of our welfare and you could not ask for more."
