An attractive period home surrounded by countryside
Bayford House is packed with charming features like fireplaces, wood paneling, large bay windows, and set in six acres of beautiful grounds. We like to get involved with village life in Stockcross where we’re located, just outside of Newbury.

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Residents can always choose where to spend their time, perhaps pottering in the gardens, or catching up with friends in one of our comfortable lounges, before sitting down to a delicious lunch in our elegant dining room.
Pampering at the salon and afternoon tea on the patio
We have a beauty salon for nails and hairdressing and afternoon tea on the patio in the summer. There are lots of treats to enjoy.
Newdale Court independent living suites
We are part of Bayford House and offer 19 spacious residential independent living suites. Each suite has en-suite shower facilities and are large enough to accommodate comfortable lounge space. Newdale Court has it's own entrance complete with dining room providing hostess service. activities room and activity team and large lounge for all to enjoy.
Bring friends and family together for tea and cake
We have private dining areas available for family events like birthday celebrations. Catering is available for an additional fee. Residents are treated to a special cake on their birthday.
There’s no typical day at Bayford House, we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Variety of activities for everyone
We have a wide range of activities such as - sing-a-longs, arts and crafts, knitting, visiting singers, musicians, and pantomimes.
Celebrations and themed events
We do monthly seasonal events with decorations, dressing up and special activities.
Trips and village life
We have many connections with the local village with visiting primary school children, scarecrow for Stockfest, outings to the park, and pub lunches.
