Jacqui, Leeds Customer Care Team, who are we?
How we’re keeping our residents safe from coronavirus (COVID-19)
As ever, the care and safety of our residents and our people continues to be our highest priority during these unprecedented times. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to look after our residents and their loved ones.
We’re following strict infection control measures in all our homes
Be assured we’re taking extra measures to prevent the spread of infection in each of our homes, including frequent deep cleaning and rolling out testing for our staff and residents.
We have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our homes have been supplied with the necessary supplies of PPE, and our in-house procurement team is ready to source further supplies if needed.
We’re keeping residents and their loved ones connected
We’re doing everything we can to keep our residents connected to their loved ones and the wider community, from video calls to letters and our new Bupa Buddy service.

Take a video tour of our care home
Discover everything you need to know about our home with our latest video tour. It’ll give you an overview of our home, from the care we provide to the facilities on offer, with photography of the bedrooms and living areas too.
A purpose-built home in a quiet spot on the edge of Hull
We provide care tailored to individuals’ needs, whether that’s using photographs on signs to help residents with dementia, assisting those with learning disabilities to do their own shopping, or simply knowing how everyone likes their tea.

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
We’ve lots of places to relax including our on-site hair salon, dedicated activities room, and bright and airy conservatory. Our inviting lounges are perfect for relaxing with a book or catching up with family and friends.
Pretty enclosed garden with a sunny patio
We have a private, enclosed, landscaped garden, with plenty of seating and perfect spaces for residents to do activities.

Assisted living bungalows, designed to enable independence
Each bungalow has four bedrooms, some with patio doors to a secure garden. Each has a large, open plan living and dining area, and a separate kitchen. Here, staff encourage residents who are living with a learning disability to be as independent as possible.

Always room for family and friends
Family and friends are welcome to pop in at any time. We also have several dining areas where families can host private events such as birthday parties. Catering is available for an additional fee.

There’s no typical day at Berkeley House, we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Enjoyable activities for everyone
We organise a range of activities such as arts and crafts, tea dances, movie nights, and visiting entertainers.

Gentle therapies that don’t feel like therapy
Lola the pet therapy dog, and Daisy and Buttercup the ponies are always visiting the home for residents to spend time with.

Part of the local community
We encourage visits from local school children who join in with bingo and take trips out to the local pub for lunch.

“This place is absolutely amazing! Since my grandad came here, they’ve been nothing short of fantastic. They make sure there are multiple activities for him to do and make sure he always participates. Huge thanks for all of their help. 10/10, would recommend!"
Granddaughter of Resident, 13 February 2020, carehome.co.uk
“My dad has been a resident in this home for six months now. His care has been excellent throughout this time. The staff have time and incredible patience to deal with even the smallest details. When it became necessary to find a care home for an elderly aunt this was the only place to be considered. She loves the home and the care she gets. Thank you all.”
Son of Resident, 14 January 2020, carehome.co.uk
“The care home is very good, as my father needs constant care. Nothing is too much for them.”
