There’s no typical day at Dean Wood, we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.

Our art café often houses much of the art work from our residents and we actively encourage them to participate in expanding the collection.

Our cinema room is equipped with a flat screen Tv and we have a vast selection of movies for residents to watch.

"Our dad was at Dean Wood on the nursing floor in March/April of 2023, after an extended stay in hospital and then in a rehab facility. We needed to find a bed in a care home at very short notice and could not have had a more positive experience from start to finish. The manager was very responsive to our needs, and very involved in all operations of the home. She helped us to get Dad into a room on the nursing floor within four days, was there to greet him on arrival, always available to answer questions and to introduce us to the facility, and to the staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is very good. The staff at Dean Wood are wonderful, all so caring and friendly, and we always felt welcome whenever we visited-which we did more than most, as we knew we possibly only had a limited number of weeks to do so. I cannot say enough good things about every single staff member we encountered, they are amazingly dedicated to what they do."
