" People and their relatives spoke positively about how kind caring and compassionate the care staff were. Comments included: 'They all seem to be kind. They are just around and get you your food or anything you need', 'the staff are very good; they look after me well'; 'I have been treated extremely well' "
“My mum was admitted to Chestnut Lodge Cirencester for emergency respite in September 2019, which then became permanent. From day one the staff at Chestnut Lodge, each and every member, were amazing. The fact they care deeply for the residents shines through and they also care for the relatives, they literally scooped me up and embraced me too! They all are always extremely friendly but remain professional, nothing is too much trouble, they go above and beyond. During this time of Covid they have shone, even more, sending me pictures of Mum, emails and FaceTiming me, to keep the relationship going, which is so important for anyone, but more so with a dementia resident. I honestly can’t put into words just how amazing they are. BUPA are blessed! Thanks to team Chestnut Lodge I have a relationship back with my mum, which had been lost over the years of caring, I can’t thank them enough for that, I truly can’t.”

“I want to take this opportunity to thank the whole team at Elm Grove for their magnificent care and professionalism during all of the Covid-19 pandemic. They have given Mum the continued 'Gold Standard' care that they always do but now in even more difficult circumstances. Whilst we haven't been able to visit Mum, the Elm Grove team have kept us informed week by week of how Mum, residents and staff are doing and this has been an immense help and reassurance. We couldn't ask for a better team to look after Mum so we say a huge thanks and gratitude for all you have done and are doing. We also recognise the sacrifices you have had to make with your families and loves ones to look after our mum. We salute you.”

“Our mum was admitted to Elm Grove Nursing Home in November of that from the moment the manager came to visit Mum in hospital to introduce herself and make her initial assessment, we have never felt anything other than incredibly grateful and extremely happy in the knowledge that the manager and the entire team of staff, treat Mum with the love and respect we dearly want her to have and that she deserves. Mum is so happy here and all the staff have been absolutely amazing. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They have been even more amazing, if that's possible, over the recent months of the self-isolating period and communication has been fantastic. We cannot thank you enough for all the care and support you give Mum, as well as us, her family.2019. We have never been in this situation before, and it is a scary, often overwhelming time, filled with a range of emotions, including guilt that we are no longer able to cope with having our dear mum at home anymore. All I can say is ”
