Welcome to Elm Grove Care Home in Cirencester

Recently refurbished

Elm Grove is a stunning building that's been converted from a private house and is located on the outskirts of the historic Roman town of Cirencester. Elm Grove underwent an extensive refurbishment in November 2014 which included full redecoration and brand new furnishings throughout the home.

As well as their individual care plan, we also draw up a 'Map of Life' for each resident when they arrive at the home. This is completed with the help of the resident themselves, their family and friends. This is then used so we can build up a clear picture of that particular person's emotional and social needs.

Life at Elm Grove Care Home

Our in-house activity co-ordinator does their best to plan something fun and interesting every day so that our residents, regardless of their ability, always have something entertaining to do.

Our activities

The best way to find out what kinds of things our residents enjoy doing is to ask them, so we talk to each of them to find out what sort of activities and events they'd like to take part in. We encourage residents to pursue any existing hobbies or interests they might have and if they want to start up a new hobby then we're happy to help with that too.

Our range of activities is enjoyed and well-supported by our residents. Examples of the sorts of things they can do include musical entertainment, quizzes, special in-house events and day trips outside the home.

Additional information

  • Stimulating daily activities
  • Friends and relatives are welcome
  • Weekly visits from a mobile hairdresser

Our food

We want to make sure that every resident has the food that they'll enjoy, every day of the week. To make sure that happens, our chef consults with all residents to find out their likes, dislikes and any dietary requirements they may have.

  • Hot and cold meal choices
  • Meals prepared using only fresh ingredients
  • Night Bite menu available
  • Menu posted in large, clear type

How do I arrange a visit?

We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first. Download our guide to choosing a care home

Can I bring my own furniture?

Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.

How soon can I move in?

This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.
