Ashley, Leeds Customer Care Team, who are we?
How we’re keeping our residents safe from coronavirus (COVID-19)
As ever, the care and safety of our residents and our people continues to be our highest priority during these unprecedented times. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to look after our residents and their loved ones.
We’re following strict infection control measures in all our homes
Be assured we’re taking extra measures to prevent the spread of infection in each of our homes, including frequent deep cleaning and rolling out testing for our staff and residents.
We have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our homes have been supplied with the necessary supplies of PPE, and our in-house procurement team is ready to source further supplies if needed.
We’re keeping residents and their loved ones connected
We’re doing everything we can to keep our residents connected to their loved ones and the wider community, from video calls to letters and our new Bupa Buddy service.
For the latest updates, support and guidance on coronavirus (COVID-19) please visit our information hub.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Our home was recently refurbished and provides a spacious, comfortable interior. You’ll find French doors that open into our wrap around gardens. There is also a conservatory that residents can unwind in.
Have your favourite drinks while catching up with friends
The onsite bar is the perfect place to enjoy your favourite drinks and chat with friends.

Enjoy the sun and surrounding views from our large terrace
Our large terrace has excellent views and is great place to sit and relax in good weather.

Get some privacy for those special events
We can offer private spaces for events such as birthdays. Just ask our staff and we’ll help arrange it.

There’s no typical day at Hazelmere House, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Rediscover old classics or whole new ones
With a regularly visiting mobile library, residents will always have new books to read.

Make your own contribution to our stunning garden
Residents can make an area of the garden their very own and we encourage them to do so.

Outings to theatres, parks and local garden centres
There is plenty to do in the local area and we’re always taking residents out to visit new and exciting locations.

“We observed kind, compassionate and caring interactions between staff and people receiving support. We received positive feedback about the dignified and respectful approach of staff and it was clear that staff were familiar with people’s preferences and wishes. People were encouraged and supported to participate in a range of different activities.”
"My Mum is very happy and settled in the home. She enjoys the activities very much and socializing and has made a few friends. She enjoys the food in the restaurant and seems happy with the carers, and the nurses."
Daughter of Resident, 23 March 2021, carehome.co.uk
"My mum moved into Hazelmere last December, and although we haven’t been able to go inside to visit, we already feel part of the Hazelmere family. The staff are wonderful, and it seems very much a team effort, nothing is too much trouble. Mum has settled in very easily, and she cannot praise her care and support highly enough. She feels very much at home!"
Daughter of Resident, 10 March 2021, carehome.co.uk
"My mother went into Hazelmere Jan 21. She was welcomed in and treated with care and dignity. Management and staff alike were excellent. My biggest fear was with regards to the food, but to my surprise, my mother had nothing but praise for it. Would recommend Hazelmere to any family."
Son of Resident, 8 March 2021, carehome.co.uk
