How we’re keeping our residents safe from coronavirus (COVID-19)
As ever, the care and safety of our residents and our people continues to be our highest priority during these unprecedented times. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to look after our residents and their loved ones.
We’re following strict infection control measures in all our homes
Be assured we’re taking extra measures to prevent the spread of infection in each of our homes, including frequent deep cleaning and rolling out testing for our staff and residents.
We have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our homes have been supplied with the necessary supplies of PPE, and our in-house procurement team is ready to source further supplies if needed.
We’re keeping residents and their loved ones connected
We’re doing everything we can to keep our residents connected to their loved ones and the wider community, from video calls to letters and our new Bupa Buddy service.

Take a video tour of our care home
Discover everything you need to know about our home with our latest video tour. It’ll give you an overview of our home, from the care we provide to the facilities on offer, with photography of the bedrooms and living areas too.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Whether residents just want to find a quiet place to read or get involved in the numerous activities our home provides, there is ample space to accommodate their wishes.
Keep warm in our conservatory with it under floor heating
Our conservatory is always at the ideal temperature thanks to the underfloor heating making it the perfect room to relax in.

Stroll around our stunning landscape gardens
Our landscaped gardens are wheelchair-friendly, giving residents the freedom to enjoy all areas of our home. And we’ve got a sheltered seating area amongst the plants too.

Watch old classics and new blockbusters
Our cinema room is always available for residents to watch their favourite movies.

There’s no typical day at Heathbrook House, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Get involved with Virtual Reality to help with dementia
We have a very special VR activity that can help residents with dementia relax by immersing them in familiar environments.

Share stories with the younger generations
With regular school visits, residents can spend time and socialise with the visiting children.

“During their most recent inspection, the Care Quality Commission found areas where we need to make changes at this home. We’re determined to provide the very best care, so we’re taking this report extremely seriously and are in the process of making all the required improvements.”
"Mum went into Heathbrook after a stay in hospital. I always said I would not like her going into a home, but she was not capable or safe to go back to her own home. From day one the staff could not do enough for mum and myself. They were caring supportive and did everything to help mum settle in which was hard for her with her dementia. I cannot thank them enough for looking after her especially towards the end of her life and making it possible for me to be with her at the end especially in these difficult times with Covid. All though Heathbrook is a home for the residents, the staff gave myself and family support above and beyond their remit. I cannot thank them enough."

"Throughout the last twelve months, the management and staff have displayed remarkable care and professionalism. In what has been a difficult time for residents, staff and loved ones, I have been constantly updated on all matters affecting the Home, Residents and Staff. It would be hard to single out any of the staff as the home has functioned as a 'Well Oiled Team'. Thank you Heathbrook."

"The wonderful staff at Heathbrook House have really helped my dad settle well into full-time care. They manage his medical needs really well and deal patiently with his dementia. He did not want to move into care but they were patient when he arrived and within weeks he was happier and more content than he had been for years. The food is lovely, lots of varied activities to stimulate and encourage social interaction. The “Daily Sparkle“ newspaper is very popular with short articles, old stories to reminisce and puzzles. Dad's move into care was so made much easier than I expected and I felt very supported emotionally too. The home has dealt well with Covid and the visiting room with glass partition and intercom works well even for those with dementia. It will just be so lovely when we can go in and visit in person."
