Kerrie, Leeds Customer Care Team, who are we?
Nursing and recovery in a distinctive setting
Nestled in a 1900’s manor house, residents can make ample use of the space provided to socialise with a drink or unwind with a good book. We encourage residents to bring their own possessions to make it that bit more personal.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
We have multiple cosy spaces that residents can participate in a variety of activities. We encourage them to do what they want to do, so if that is spending some quiet time then we have spaces to accommodate this.
Enjoy conversation and drinks in our open conservatory
We have a comfy selection of chairs in our open conservatory that provides plenty of natural light.
Walk amongst our stunning garden
During the summer, residents can sit outside with a refreshing drink while chatting to their loved ones, or they can spend some time feeding the birds.
There’s no typical day at Kilfillan House, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Visit the local village and sights such as Ashridge forest
There is plenty to see in the local village and we go on a variety of trips to the surrounding area.
Participate in seasonal and monthly themed events
We put on a variety of seasonal monthly events that our residents and the local community can get involved with.
Connect with the local community while learning new dances
We run a dance group with the local community that helps our residents learn something new and get involved with the community.
“Staff respected people's dignity and ensured they remained as independent as possible. People's privacy was maintained, for example staff were mindful of our presence while they supported and or communicated with people. People were encouraged to retain their independence and control as far as possible. We observed staff supported people in a patient and respectful manner, enabling them to complete tasks for themselves wherever possible.”
