Personalised care in a warm, welcoming environment
We put a real focus on making sure our care provides residents with the respect, dignity and high quality of life that they deserve. We encourage them to get involved in the variety of activities we offer to cultivate a social atmosphere.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
We have several lounges where residents can socialise, enjoy a coffee and watch television. There are also plenty of spaces around the home where residents can relax and enjoy some quiet time.
Relax and enjoy the secure gardens
Our gardens have many spots that are ideal for stopping and taking in the sights. Residents are also encouraged to help tend to the gardens, contributing in any way they wish.

Enjoy a tea or coffee with family friends at our dementia café
We organise regular dementia cafes to provide support, information and advice for both residents and relatives.

Take time to pamper yourself in our salon
Our salon can provide a wide range of beautician options to our residents.

There’s no typical day at Oak Lodge, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Have a spectacular day at the races
We take residents on days out to the races to have a flutter if they so wish.

Regular seasonal events
We hold a variety of seasonal events including Easter celebrations, a summer fete and a Christmas party. People living locally are always invited to come along too, so residents feel part of their community.

Keep fit and healthy
Whether its standing up or from the comfort of their armchairs, residents are encourage to partake in gentle exercises.

“People living at the home were put at the centre of processes to monitor and improve the quality of the service. People received a service which was well led. There was a very open, inclusive atmosphere in the home, with a strong sense of team working and ethos of continuous improvement.”
"I arrived to find my husband sitting at the table where the tea party was in full swing. The table was beautifully laid with part napkins, beakers and plates. The food was delicious and appropriate jam tarts, finger sandwiches and orange squash. The chef had made a gorgeous red jam heart-shaped tart. There was a "drink me" bottle and an "eat me cake". The carers and entertainment staff were engaged with the residents. My husband was very alert and enjoyed it."

"My mum, who is 101, has been at Oak Lodge for well over two years. I can not praise the experienced staff highly enough for the care and attention they give her. From the carers, housekeepers, chefs, and reception staff to the brilliant entertainment - nothing is too much trouble for them. Thanks so much."

"Unfortunately, I don't get to see my aunt often, but when I do, she always looks very clean and well-presented. She always appears to be happy in her secure and very comfortable surroundings, and she thoroughly enjoys doing all the different activities with her fellow residents. I find the staff to always be very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable within their role."
