Ashley, Leeds Customer Care Team, who are we?
How we’re keeping our residents safe from coronavirus (COVID-19)
As ever, the care and safety of our residents and our people continues to be our highest priority during these unprecedented times. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to look after our residents and their loved ones.
We’re following strict infection control measures in all our homes
Be assured we’re taking extra measures to prevent the spread of infection in each of our homes, including frequent deep cleaning and rolling out testing for our staff and residents.
We have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our homes have been supplied with the necessary supplies of PPE, and our in-house procurement team is ready to source further supplies if needed.
We’re keeping residents and their loved ones connected
We’re doing everything we can to keep our residents connected to their loved ones and the wider community, from video calls to letters and our new Bupa Buddy service.
For the latest updates, support and guidance on coronavirus (COVID-19) please visit our information hub.
Take a video tour of our care home
Discover everything you need to know about our home with our latest video tour. It’ll give you an overview of our home, from the care we provide to the facilities on offer, with photography of the bedrooms and living areas too.
Care in a calm and social setting
We offer our residents a vast range of activities to choose from and encourage them to get involved whenever possible. If they want some peace and quiet though, there are plenty of spaces they can relax in.

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Be it helping, admiring the garden or simply unwinding in our conservatory, there is no shortage of space for residents to relax and socialise with a cup of tea or good book.
Pick your favourite books from our selection
The library has an excellent choice of novels and there are many spaces that residents can use to read.

Grow your own vegetables in our onsite plot
Whatever the residents wish to grow, we will accommodate them in our vegetable plot. We often include our home grown produce in meals cooked for residents.

Enjoy your hobbies or start new ones in our activity room
Our activity room has the space to help maintain residents hobbies both old and new with regular support.

There’s no typical day at Oakcroft House, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Have a red-carpet event for your favourite movies
We hold regular movie screenings of films that residents choose, and we try and accommodate whatever film is suggested.

See the sites of central London
As we’re so close to the capital, residents can always go and watch plays at theatres and visit the big attractions.

Share stories with the younger generations
We get regular visits from schools where the students spend time socialising with the residents.

"People received personalised care that reflected their needs, interests and preferences. People had access to activities that reflected what was important to them. Regular reviews were undertaken and any changes to people’s needs were actioned by staff. Staff communicated any changes in care with each other. The provider had a clear and accessible complaints procedure."
"My aunt was admitted to Oakcroft with a very uncertain life expectancy. She surprised us all by remaining here for four years and five months. The care she received was excellent, the staff cheerful, kind and hard-working. The activities, garden and indoor spaces provided an unthinkable quality of life regardless of disabilities. Most of all, the love and dignity shown to her provided a secure, happy environment to end her last years. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home, with heartfelt thanks to all."

"My father has been at Oakcroft for 18 months and I cannot fault the dedication and loving care provided by caregivers at the home. Whenever I visit I am always greeted in a friendly way and I can see that dad, who has multiple needs, is being cared for both professionally and in a really warm manner."
Son of Resident, 01-May-20, carehome.co.uk
"My mother was at Oakcroft House for about nine and a half months, but we felt she could not have been in better hands from both a nursing and care point of view. We particularly liked the homely nature of Oakcroft and the friendly atmosphere between residents, carers and families. The residents are very lucky to have such a full programme of activities and special events laid on by their activities team. I know that the weekly hairdressing was also a special feature of our mother’s stay. We are very grateful to all the staff for taking such good care of her while she was there."
