Ashley, Leeds Customer Care Team, who are we?
How we’re keeping our residents safe from coronavirus (COVID-19)
As ever, the care and safety of our residents and our people continues to be our highest priority during these unprecedented times. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to look after our residents and their loved ones.
We’re following strict infection control measures in all our homes
Be assured we’re taking extra measures to prevent the spread of infection in each of our homes, including frequent deep cleaning and rolling out testing for our staff and residents.
We have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our homes have been supplied with the necessary supplies of PPE, and our in-house procurement team is ready to source further supplies if needed.
We’re keeping residents and their loved ones connected
We’re doing everything we can to keep our residents connected to their loved ones and the wider community, from video calls to letters and our new Bupa Buddy service.
For the latest updates, support and guidance on coronavirus (COVID-19) please visit our information hub.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
The home itself was converted from a former private girls’ school so we have plenty of rooms for residents to make use of, whether they want to curl up with a book or simply make time for their favourite hobbies.
Grab a pint with friends new and old
Our bar is simply the best place to catch up with friends and family.

Enjoy a cup of tea or freshly prepared meals
The café and restaurant are always offering top quality food and drinks.

Take some time out to pamper yourself
The salon has an excellent selection of beautician treatments.

There’s no typical day at Queensmount, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Keep yourself active and healthy
To help our residents keep active there are regular gentle exercise sessions that they are encouraged to participate in.

Get out on the open water
Our regular boat trips help to show our residents a completely different side of nature.

See the sights and sounds of the coast
As we’re so close to the seaside we often take residents on regular outings in good summer weather.

“There was a person-centred culture that was driven by a motivated and committed staff team. They constantly looked for ways to improve the service and ensure people received the outstanding care they deserved. This motivation resulted in a whole team who were totally supportive and committed to providing high quality, individualised care. The staff team told us they were truly valued and respected.”
“I can not recommend Queensmount enough, the facilities, staff, food, activities and care are both excellent and varied. Both of my parents have had outstanding care and attention whilst being in residence. I thank all the staff for all of their hard work, care and dedication to their roles and the wellbeing of the residents.”

“Staff are very friendly, welcoming, knowledgable, helpful and understanding. They go out of their way to make a lovely environment for residents. They have been extremely professional and responsible during the Covid situation.”
Daughter-in-law of resident, 15 June 2020, carehome.co.uk
“My uncle was incredibly well looked after during his four-week respite care at Queensmount. We were included in all the meetings so that we were aware of the support that might be necessary on his home return. Care staff were very knowledgeable and supportive to enable him to recover sufficiently to become independent again at home. There were plenty of activities planned for residents to join in with during the daytime, as well as personalised activities in their rooms if a larger gathering not appropriate.”
