Kerrie, Leeds Customer Care Team, who are we?
How we’re keeping our residents safe from coronavirus (COVID-19)
As ever, the care and safety of our residents and our people continues to be our highest priority during these unprecedented times. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to look after our residents and their loved ones.
We’re following strict infection control measures in all our homes
Be assured we’re taking extra measures to prevent the spread of infection in each of our homes, including frequent deep cleaning and rolling out testing for our staff and residents.
We have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our homes have been supplied with the necessary supplies of PPE, and our in-house procurement team is ready to source further supplies if needed.
We’re keeping residents and their loved ones connected
We’re doing everything we can to keep our residents connected to their loved ones and the wider community, from video calls to letters and our new Bupa Buddy service.
For the latest updates, support and guidance on coronavirus (COVID-19) please visit our information hub.
Take a video tour of our care home
Discover everything you need to know about our home with our latest video tour. It’ll give you an overview of our home, from the care we provide to the facilities on offer, with photography of the bedrooms and living areas too.
Recently refurbished in all the shared spaces
Our spacious home is partly Grade-II listed, with beautiful oak panelling and huge leaded windows. Stroll through our sunny conservatory into the garden and you might spot some ducks waddling over from the river.

“Our home is friendly, welcoming and homely. My staff team are passionate about high quality care and work extremely hard to deliver person-centred care. Our food is all home cooked and we offer a wide range of activities to meet every one’s interests and abilities.”
Karen Raggett - Home manager at Sutton Lodge

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Residents at Sutton Lodge are free to choose for themselves how and where they spend their time. And their friends and family are always welcome – for a visit, a meal, or just to join in with whatever’s going on.
Feels just like home
Our converted Edwardian residence still holds many of its original features, but steel retains a homely feel.

Pretty bedrooms
We have attractive soft furnishings and interestingly shaped rooms with bay windows and gables.

Beautiful big garden
The garden has a water feature, raised flower beds that make it easy to do some gardening, and a seating area to relax on.

There’s no typical day at Sutton Lodge, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Lots of fun to be had
There are movie afternoons with popcorn, visiting performers, and trips down to the river to get an ice-cream.

Staying sharp
We encourage residents to keep their mind and body together with music and gentle exercises.

We love animals
Wilf the sausage dog is a pet therapy dog, and there’s also Tabitha the cat. We have pet therapy with visiting chickens, kittens and rabbits. We’ve raised chicks in the past. We have visits from Zoo Lab, which brings in unusual beasties and creepy crawlies.

“Our family are totally happy with the care our mother is receiving. The care and nursing staff are kind, helpful and professional and have created a true family atmosphere which also includes the relatives. The management are medically lead and have provided a home where we know our mother is safe and will receive the necessary treatment she needs. All the staff including chefs, cleaners, laundry, maintenance, amenities and admin staff all work together as a team. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to all.”
Daughter of Resident, 21-May-20, carehome.co.uk
“My aunt has been a resident at Sutton Lodge for nearly five years. Throughout her stay she has been treated with nothing but extreme kindness by all the staff. The few times she has been taken ill they have nursed her back to health without having to resort to her being hospitalised. She is extremely happy and content and we have full confidence in the wonderful care they provide.”
Nephew of Resident, 20-May-20, carehome.co.uk
“We would like to put on record how happy we are with Sutton Lodge. All the staff are very friendly and caring. My brother is in his 90's and was living on his own so it was a big decision for him to leave his home, but he is really happy at Sutton Lodge. He is enjoying the company of other residents and of course the staff. We are so relieved that he is in a safe and happy home.”
Sister of Resident, 12-May-20, carehome.co.uk
