Life at Tadworth Grove Care Home

Popular activities and social interaction are a vital part of our care. If something interesting and fun is planned every day it helps keep our residents' minds active and improve their appetites.

Our activities

At Tadworth Grove we aim to find something for everyone to enjoy. We hold lively armchair dance sessions - plus favourites such as quizzes, cards and board games, bingo, sing-a-longs and movement to music.

Outdoor pursuits include gentle gardening sessions, visits to the theatre, afternoon tea and cakes in the village as well as regular shopping trips. Pets as Therapy is a charity that brings well-behaved dogs in for a visit, and there are also performances by local entertainers.

We organise community and seasonally themed monthly events - always tailored to the different capabilities of our residents - and have strong links with local churches.

How do I arrange a visit?

We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first. Download our guide to choosing a care home

Can I bring my own furniture?

Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.

How soon can I move in?

This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.
