Welcome to Thatcham Court Care Home in Newbury

Our modern, purpose-built care home has modern facilities and is situated in the heart of Thatcham and close to many local amenities.

We specialise in the care of people living with dementia and our aim is to create a friendly, caring environment. It's important to find a balance between providing support when it's needed and allowing our residents to be as independent as possible.

At Thatcham Court each resident has a dedicated key carer and named nurse, who will cater our care to suit each person. They will create a personal care plan tailored for each resident that takes into account their life story and routines.

In addition to person centred care, we provide nursing staff to support residents who require qualified nursing care.

We provide respectful and meaningful care for residents and support for their relatives and loved ones. We make sure that their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.

Short stays offering round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment. Perfect for carers who are ill, on holiday or just need a break.

Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.

This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.
