High-quality care in a beautiful Georgian home
Our comfortable home is set in an elegant period house, in a spot so peaceful that it’s hard to believe we’re in the heart of London. A favourite feature is our amazing conservatory where residents have their meals which are prepared by our own chefs with a hostess service.
“It is a great honour and privilege to have the opportunity to work with my residents in their home to help them live longer, healthier, happier lives. My move to work in care came as a result of making the difficult decision to find a care home for my Grandmother who had Lewy body dementia. I felt that this was a career that had a personal draw for me where I could make a real difference.”
Adam Tallis - General Manager at The Kensington

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Residents can always choose how to spend their time, perhaps enjoying a little flower-arranging or a gentle stroll in the garden before sitting down to a delicious lunch with friends or loved ones.
Two lovely gardens
Our two gardens have lawns, pretty flowers, colourful tubs, water features, and places to sit on the patio under the shade of a parasol.

Beautifully refurbished
There are luxury armchairs and sofas, attractive soothing colour schemes, and pretty wallpapers.

Pleasant, comfortable bedrooms
With big windows and flat-screen TV, all rooms have an en-suite, with attractive furniture.

There’s no typical day at The Kensington, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Helping residents to stay mobile
Residents can keep active by participating in Tai Chi or yoga, where classical music is used.

Music is part of life
With music therapy, hymn singing with a local church, and visits from big-band jazz entertainers, music is a big influence at the home.

Making the most of London
London has many activities to do such as the cinema, museums, art galleries, parks, shops, and Kensington Palace.

“As a wife of a resident I have always been welcomed on my visits and enjoyed staying for lunch. Any concerns I have had have been listened to and dealt with. My husband is cheerful, content, relaxed and well cared for by the staff.”

"My mother has been a resident at The Kensington for four months and although anxious at the beginning, she soon settled into the home. This is thanks to the home manager and whole team. The home has a wonderful feel about it, which is due to the manager taking a genuine interest in all residents and spending regular quality time with each of them. This caring approach has cascaded down to his team which has created an environment that is genuinely caring, happy and calm. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to anyone.”

“My mother-in-law is recuperating at The Kensington Care Home from major surgery. She feels extremely well looked after, both medically and as a person. I was impressed, from my very first visit, by the level of professional competence, genuine care and diligence and the many acts of kindness. The food, activities and the gardens are superb and there is a lovely spirit about this place - a real find!”
