Quiet and peaceful, with good links to the community
Just three miles from Dartford in Kent, Wilmington Manor is a beautifully converted Victorian manor house with pretty gardens. A large modern extension offers additional bedrooms, and all rooms overlook the gardens.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Our residents can always choose what they want to do and where they want to be. They can join in with what’s going on or choose to have some ‘me’ time instead, perhaps in one of our lounges or their own room.
Beautiful gardens to potter about in
Our garden is home to a pond, fountain, and terrace with a shaded seating area for enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
Spacious lounges feel like home
We welcome visitors, letting them settle down with a book or enjoying a chat over a coffee.
Pretty bedrooms with comfort in mind
All our bedrooms are bright and airy with attractive soft furnishings and en-suite WC.
There’s no typical day at Wilmington Manor, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Being creative, staying active
We have groups for knitting, sewing, arts and crafts, and gardening.
Trips out to local places of interest
We take out residents on trips to local garden centres, shopping, and visits to the seaside.
One-to-one activities for each resident
We provide one-to-one activities for each resident in their room all according to their choices.
What do others say about this home?
“People were involved in making decisions about their care and staff took account of their individual needs and preferences… Staff were encouraging and supportive to help people to maintain their independence as long as possible. People were happy and told us they were well supported.”
“My overriding impression of Wilmington Manor is one of great kindness towards both its residents and their families.”
Son of resident, May 2019, carehome.co.uk
“My mum had a wonderful time – singing, making things, eating with the other residents and encouraged to be independent. The other respite care that mum had previously, they never bothered to let her get involved, never taking her out of bed. She keeps telling me she can't wait to come back.”
Family of resident, April 2019, carehome.co.uk
“My mother has been at Wilmington Manor for two happy years. All the carers that work there speak fondly of mum and show her great kindness.”
