Dr Eleanor Atkins

Eleanor studied medicine at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2012, and gained a BMedSci degree after carrying out research at the University of Lusaka in Zambia. She is currently in training to be a vascular surgeon. She has published research papers internationally and presented at many surgical conferences.

She is working for Bupa as part of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management Clinical Fellow Scheme, and plans to take skills in project management, negotiation and product development back to the NHS.

Eleanor is passionate about holistic care of the surgical patient, shared decision-making, and the role of exercise in medicine. She relaxes by running marathons, playing hockey and skiing as frequently as she can!
