Nicky qualified with an honours degree in physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire in 2003. Her early career was based in the NHS, completing her junior rotations before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy within Islington PCT. Here she gained experience treating a multitude of complex acute and chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. She also had the opportunity to complete six monthly rotations in different areas of MSK care, including orthopaedics, rheumatology and treating paediatric patients with MSK complaints.
With her extensive background experience, she then moved in to private practice at the Cromwell Hospital, treating a full range of musculoskeletal conditions. Here she has been supported to complete numerous postgraduate courses including masters modules and specialist spinal courses. Nicky now leads the MSK physiotherapy team at the Cromwell Hospital and helps to ensure clinical excellence across the team. Her special interests include spinal pain management and manual therapy, headaches and TMJ pain.
